Is EB-5 something still worth considering for Chinese investors?

I am a Chinese international student currently studying in the U.S. My parents have thought about gifting me the capital to invest in EB-5 programs. However, the waiting period for Chinese investors makes me wonder if EB-5 is still worth considering. What are some other visa options for Chinese investors to get green cards?

If money is not an issue and you are aware of the timing, then it should still be considered.

It is still worth it to consider EB-5, do not doubt, investors from China are still filing. Consider consulting an EB-5 attorney for further information.

EB-5 is worth considering despite the long waiting line. While it is possible we may not see changes, this is primarily because of the position of the Republican party not to increase the immigrant visa quota. However, its been 30 years since the current quota of 40,000 annual employment visas was set. As a result, long waiting lines have developed for Chinese and Indians in the employment context. It is my view that after the election in November, Congress may come to top its senses and actually fix this mess. So while there is no guarantee or assurance, one can be hopeful that Congress will fix the problem in the next few years.

Absolutely. While it may take 10 years now, just a few years ago, it was not 10 years. It is still one of the most direct paths to a green card.
