I am an investor from Afghanistan who wants to apply for EB-5. Will my petition fees be free now when the government is waiving immigration visa fees for applicants from Afghanistan? My family also helped to translate for the American troops in Afghanistan. I heard there might be other ways we can immigrate to the USA?

Schedule a Free Consultation with Top EB5 Visa AttorneysUSCIS will not waive your EB-5 government filing fees. But if you have evidence your family performed translation services, they may be eligible for priority refugee processing and/or humanitarian parole if outside the U.S. and possibly be eligible as an asylee if in the U.S.

Schedule a Free Consultation with Top EB5 Visa AttorneysIt is worth asking but I would suspect this benefit is to persons who cannot afford the fees, not EB-5 investors.
