Why is applying from Vietnam so difficult?

I am from Vietnam and I am studying the EB-5 visa alternative for a green card in the U.S. I keep finding comments and information from other investors that the application is stricter for people from Iran and Vietnam. For an entrepreneur such as myself, my central funding comes from family gifts, friends’ loans, and entrepreneur grants and loans when available. So I am concerned that the nature of my funds is by itself complicated to apply.

When dealing with EB-5 source of funds, I would suggest you try to make it as simple as possible. EB-5 capitals coming from multiple sources may complicate your situation. Investors from Vietnam share the same problems like those from China: lack of proper tax documentation, wire transfer limitations etc.

I have not heard of particular difficulties for nationals of Vietnam. Iranian nationals are vetted more completely than some other countries.
