Since I526E processing is very long, and I want to save some time, can I travel to the US on an F1 visa to have my Master’s while my I-526E is pending, so I can complete my studies , come back home and once the form is adjudicated have a consular processing at the consulate in my home country? Will CBP officer admit me? Does CBP even have the I526E details at the point of entry?

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryYes that is doable – explain you will be consular processing when you apply for the F-1 visa and discuss that you have an I-526 pending which will take several years to adjudicate.

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryI526Es do not take that long to process – 12ish months is the average. But yes you can get an F1 as long as you properly disclose the pending I526E on the F1 application. CBP can access USCIS records.

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryYes - if you have a valid visa and your trip is temporary in nature, you can visit the U.S. while your I-526E is pending.
