I am an India-born F-1 student in the U.S. who filed Form I-526 in May 2019. Given the new I-526 processing procedures of USCIS, what is a more accurate estimate of total wait time for me to get a green card?

Immigration attorneysThe waiting period for I-526 hovers between two and three years. As to when you can file I-485, it is better to consult the Visa Bulletin to get an idea if the Indian nationals are facing retrogression or not. but expect at least a minimum of an additional two years.

Immigration attorneysActually obtaining the green card should not be affected. Your I-526 approval matters not if there is no green card available. Your priority date was established on filing the I-526. In fact, this may actually be a good thing: time spent waiting for I-526 approval does not count against a child turning 21, but the time spent waiting for green card availability does.
