How can I travel to the UK with a pending I-131 application?

I have had a pending I-485 application for 11 months now. I applied for I-131 5 months ago and then requested an expedited review to attend international scientific conferences without success. I have been admitted to a 3-month professional medical Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene in the UK, set to start in 2 months. What are my options at this stage after trying expedited review with no success?

If you cannot get travel authorization in a timely manner, you may want to abandon your adjustment and complete your immigrant visa application via consular processing abroad.

Depending on your visa status, your I-485 could be abandoned if you travel internationally before your advance parole is issued. I strongly recommend speaking to your immigration attorney before travelling.

You can apply for an emergency parole at the local office.
