How can I travel to Canada with a valid stamp but no greencard?

I entered the United States for the first time to apply for a green card, and my passport has a valid stamp, but I have not yet received a physical green card. Can I travel to Canada with this stamp, which is said to be valid for one year?

You can use the stamp on the passport to re-enter the U.S. from Canada. Even though you haven’t received your physical green card, the stamp on the passport means you’re now a permanent resident. But the stamp normally is valid for one year and you should receive your green card on two to three months.

If you entered with an immigrant visa, your immigrant visa with a CBP entry stamp serves as evidence of your lawful permanent status for a year from the date of entry. You can use it for travel and as evidence of work authorization.
