How can I know if my EB-5 regional center will be terminated?

It is with great concern that I’m following the news about this regional center in the U.S. that got terminated because it did not pay administrative fees on time. I see that it’s not the only one. I am right now looking at several regional center project options and I worry that I will never learn that my regional center did not pay their fees when it was supposed to. How will I know if they are going to be canceled? Will I be notified by the regional center or the authorities if my regional center will be terminated? Will I be informed with enough time to pull out my investment for another EB-5 regional center? What can I do if something like this happens? Should I demand it includes something about termination in my project contract?

Valid concerns. Your safest bet is to select a Regional Center with a proven immigration track record.

This does not happen that frequently so you will need to monitor the status of the Regional Center. It seems that when a Center is terminated the projects must be transferred to another Center. The authorities should require that investors be notified and that the pending projects be transferred to another Center.
