Why am I getting an EB-5 visa interview in July when the EB-5 regional center program is expired?

I’m right stuck in a limbo. The NVC has emailed me about it scheduling our EB-5 visa interview on July 27, 2021.

According to what people say is that we won’t be able to get our visa because of the regional center expiring, yet the NVC emailed us today. I guess because maybe it has not been officially lapsed?

It is quite unfortunate but is there a possibility that we could attend the interview and get our visas?

No interviews will continue if they are based on the regional center program.

Yes, definitely possible. They are sorting out how to handle cases of people who filed before the program lapsed - we do expect it to be reinstated in the next couple of months.

My guess is it will be postponed, or they may interview you but not issue until the visa bulletin is updated and the program extended.

The program may be reauthorized by the time of your interview. Don’t reschedule, and if NVC needs to cancel, they will let you know.
