My relative rescheduled her EB-5 interview in China last July due to COVID lockdown in China (which prohibited her from traveling to the appointment location). She has not heard back ever since from the US consulate about when her rescheduled interview appointment would be. She has been emailing the US consulate in China every month about this, but she receives the same response every time. Is there any resource we can check on the waiting time for rescheduling EB-5 interview appointments in China? What other options do we have?

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryIt is a mistake to reschedule interviews - usually they will respond and reschedule but other than email, there is no viable way to get them to reschedule. We advise clients to make every effort to attend. We have even seen cases denied for failing to follow up.

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryPlease check if her last action date on the visa bulletin has been current. If it is not current, the Consulate in Guangzhou will not schedule the appointment for her.
