What happens with pending EB-5 applications if the EB-5 program is not reauthorized in June?

If the EB-5 regional center program is not authorized further, how will current pending applications be impacted?

Generally, assumed cases already on file when it was authorized would be adjudicated, but so far the program has always been re-authorized even though they often wait until the last minute to do so. Send a note to your Congressperson to re-authorize this; Senator Leahy usually pushes this hard as I believe he was an original author.

That would be the doomsday scenario. They would basically be denied. Needless to say, re-authorization is critical for the industry and our clients.

It has been renewed over 15 times but if not, the persons who have already landed will be fine, those that have not been approved for a conditional green card may be in trouble.
