Could lease payments be considered as EB-5 capital investment? For example, if I lease three offices for 10 years for $800K and pay the total (800 K) at the start of the lease term. Please note I am not the owner of the said offices.

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryLeasing offices alone is a passive investment. If the business will actively manage properties and create at least 10 full-time jobs with your EB-5 investment, then yes assuming it meets other requirements and qualifies for a reduced $800K investment threshold. Consult an experienced EB-5 immigration attorney.

Immigration Attorneys DirectoryThe key of EB-5 is job creation. If managing a leasing office can create at least 10 new jobs, it may qualify as an EB-5 investment.
