Due to changes in Korea’s foreign exchange transaction regulations, remitting investment funds ($800,000 for TEA areas) is currently difficult. This is expected to normalize within 6 months, but can I remit only a portion of the investment funds (small amounts less than $10,000), submit the petition to the immigration office, and receive the I-526e receipt?

Schedule a Free Consultation with Top EB5 Visa AttorneysYes, you can receive I-526E receipt even though you invest part of the EB5 funds, only if you can demonstrate on your I-526E petition that you’re in actively process of investing in the new commercial enterprise.

Schedule a Free Consultation with Top EB5 Visa AttorneysYes, an I-526E may be filed as long as the investor is actively in the process of investing the required funds. The investor does not need to have already invested the full amount. However, a careful investor will work with an investment immigration lawyer to first review and approve the full amount of intended EB-5 funds, before making any investment amount.
