Alvaro Acevedo is a tax attorney. He the founder and president of Brickell Law Group, based in Miami Florida.
Brickell is a tax firm that assists clients with their domestic and international tax needs, as well as business, immigration, asset protection and estate planning needs.
Acevedo, who has been with Brickell since 2014, is a licensed attorney in Florida; a certified public accountant in Florida, Massachusetts and Delaware; a certified tax resolution specialist; and an enrolled agent by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. His clientele includes domestic and international corporations, LLCs, estates, trusts, individuals, nonprofits and partnerships.
Acevedo is also managing partner of his own firm, Acevedo Associates LLP, which he started in 2007 and has offices in Florida, Panama and Colombia.
Acevedo, who was born in Colombia, has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University, a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University and an LL.M. in tax law from Georgetown University Law Center. He has also studied comparative tax policy, trade policy and administration at Harvard Kennedy School.
Acevedo speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English.
