Simon Xuereb is the director of the Private Client and Global Mobility Services department of KPMG in Malta. He played a key role in the ongoing development of the department, and now leads a multidisciplinary team that serves clients on an international level. He also currently chairs KPMG’s High Net Worth Migration Working Group.
In addition to his extensive migration work with KPMG in Malta, Xuereb is also well-versed in matters involving airlines and airports, aviation services, corporate and international taxation, financial services, international executive services and company restructuring services.
Xuereb is often sought out for speaking and lecturing positions on various taxation-related academic courses in Maltese schools and returns as a visiting lecturer at his alma mater Leiden University on the advanced international tax planning course. He also coauthored the Malta section in International Corporate Procedures, a business regulations encyclopedia published by Jordan Publishing.
Xuereb earned his Doctor of Laws degree in 2009. In 2011, obtained his Master of Laws degree in international taxation at Leiden University. In 2010, he earned his warrant to practice as an Advocate before the superior Courts in Malta the following year.
