The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) launched an online tool in October that simplifies updating visa applicants’ addresses.
The new Enterprise Change of Address (E-COA) is a self-service tool aimed at individuals with ongoing applications, petitions, or requests, and persons who do not have pending applications but must notify USCIS if they change address.
“E-COA will significantly improve the speed and efficiency of the process for USCIS customers to update their address,” the U.S. immigration body said in an alert.
USCIS applicants, like EB-5 investors, can now update their mailing and physical addresses in one place through their USCIS online account, streamlining the application process.
However, the agency insisted that changing the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) address does not automatically change it with the USCIS, so they must be done separately.
