Timothy Shih is a corporate and securities attorney, and a founding partner of Yee & Shih LLP, a New York-based law firm with established expertise in complex corporate transactional matters. Attorney Shih has comprehensive legal experience in private and public M&A transactions and securities offerings, entertainment, banking, and corporate restructuring.
He is also managing partner of EB5 Affiliate Network, a leader in EB-5 regional center consulting, EB-5 business strategy and investor fundraising, and he co-owns the EB5 Affiliate Regional Network State of California Regional Center, LLC. Attorney Shih is experienced in identifying EB-5 compatible projects, assembling the required project documents and sourcing accredited foreign investors. His on-the-ground experience in China places him in a unique position to understand the needs of stakeholders in all four corners of the EB-5 industry.
Prior to Yee & Shih LLP, Attorney Shih was an attorney at a leading law firm, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. In this capacity, he assisted on transactional legal matters, with a focus on IPOs, secondary equity and debt offerings, corporate security offerings, and M&A transactions, and worked directly with Fortune 500 Companies in the real estate, financial, media, hospitality, manufacturing, banking, and private equity spaces in the United States.
Attorney Shih also has extensive entertainment experience, having served as general counsel for DMG Entertainment, one of the largest entertainment companies in China. He oversaw DMG’s overall legal and business strategy including licensing, film production and distribution, film financing, capital markets transactions, strategic partnerships, M&A, joint ventures, and litigation.
Attorney Shih graduated from Yale University with his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, and earned his Juris Doctor from the Duke University School of Law. He is an active member of the New York state Bar. Attorney Shih is fluent in Mandarin and English.
