What’s the time limit for applying with an EB-5 direct investment?

I plan on investing in my relatives’ business in the U.S. Between making the actual investment and applying for the EB-5 visa (sending the actual form and paying the fees to USCIS), is there a deadline?

It is best to be fully invested before your file the I-526.

Only if you can prove that funds you invested in the business come from a lawful source, you can apply for EB-5. There is no deadline. But the current required minimum funds are $800K, so you need to input or will input within 2 years the $800K in the business.
