I am looking at investing directly in a hotel renovation and expansion as an EB-5 project. But the hotel is going to be operational throughout the project. Do jobs have to be new to qualify for EB-5? When should the EB-5 project’s job be created? Right at the beginning of the renovations or during the project. What happens to those jobs created at the beginning, yet not the same people end up working in that role once the two-year period ends? Can we hire people going through their naturalization process?
